In recent years, electric bikes have become more and more popular. They offer a convenient way to get around without having to worry about traffic or parking, or breaking a sweat on the way to work. They do, however, they also come with some drawbacks.

In this article, we will specifically be looking into the Lectric XP 2.0 e-bike, which is one of the best value e-bikes available on the market today. Electric bikes have become more popular than ever before.

There are many different models out there, but they all share some common traits.  Let’s look into the Lectric XP 2.0 in detail, and see how it compares to the previous model of the Lectric XP.

Lectric E-Bike Review

Lectric XP 2.0 e-Bike – Best Value Electric Bike

Lectric is a company that prides themselves on making great electric bikes for amazing value.  They are fast and fun to use, and great for city commutes.  Generally, electric bikes can vary widely in price and in terms of quality. For the money, the XP 2.0 is a great affordable option.

The Lectric XP 2.0 has been designed to be easy to use and yet powerful and speedy. It comes equipped with a 350 watt motor, which gives you enough power to travel up hills at full speed. You can choose between three different levels of pedal assist: Low (25%), Medium (50%) and High (75%).

This fun and compact electric bike has plenty of power to get you up steep hills and a tight turning radius to bob and weave in town. The XP 2.0 is similar to its predecessor, but there are some changes. The most obvious of which is the new paint job. The XP 2.0 also has a different frame design, a larger battery pack and a slightly smaller motor.

The Lectric XP 2.0 is a good value for money electric bike. It offers decent performance and range, especially considering the price tag. If you’re looking for an electric bike that won’t break the bank, then this is a good choice.

The XP 2.0, with its stock default settings has a top pedal-assisted speed of 20 mph. It can also easily be configured as a Class 3 e-bike with a top assisted speed of 28 mph by adjusting the speed limit through the bike’s display.

Lectric XP 2.0 Performance

The Lectric XP 2.0 has impressive speed and acceleration for such a small electric bike.  Acceleration is very fast, but it’s predictable. The bike doesn’t jump off the line right away, but it has an exponential acceleration curve, making it feel safer and more refined.

The new XP 2.0 motor is 50% stronger than the old XP 1.0. This means that it can go farther, faster, and for longer. The battery life increased by about 30% compared to the previous model of the Lectric XP.

The Pedelec system works well with the lower level of power provided by the motor. It feels more like a normal bicycle when pedaling without any help. At higher levels of power, however, the bike feels more like a motorcycle. The battery size also affects the performance of the bike. A larger battery provides more power, but it also increases the weight of the bike.

Compared to the previous model of the Lectric XP, the distance you can travel per charge doesn’t change significantly. The average speed was also fairly similar between the two models, but we saw a higher average speed on the 2.0.

We were able to get about 19 miles per hour (30.58 kilometers per hour) out of the XP 2.0. This is a definite improvement over the previous version of this bike, which could barely go above 15mph (24.14 kilometers per hour).

The XP 2.0, at 64 lbs, is also lighter than the original XP.  Additionally, it has more power than the original XP.  The second edition of the XP is better equipped to handle hills, because it has a longer wheelbase than the original XP.

The tires are also wider than before, so there’s less rolling resistance and increased traction. Compared to the original, the new model has a higher seat height, so it’s easier to get up off your feet when you need to stop pedaling.

With a single charge, the XP 2.0 should be able to go approximately 45 miles (72.42 kilometers)!  That’s impressive for a bike with such a compact battery.  Additionally, the Tektro 160 mm mechanical disc brakes are incredibly responsive and powerful enough to stop quickly from high speeds.

This model is a great option for beginners who want to try out electric bikes but don’t know what they’re getting into. With this model, you get fenders, a rack, and front suspension. Plus, there are tons of accessories available to make your ride even better. You can check out the specs below.

Lectric XP 2.0 Specs & Features

The Lectic XP is relatively lightweight, weighing in at just 64 pounds (29.03 kg).  This makes it great to travel with, as it’s light and compact.  You can easily fit this compact e-bike onto a bike rack or take it with you on the train.

The bike also comes fully assembled, so you don’t need to worry about taking the time to make sure each part of the bike is assembled correctly.  Additionally, it comes fully charged, so you can use it right out of the box.

This bike is also fully foldable for ease of transportation and storage.  Once folded, the bike’s dimensions are 37 × 18 × 28”.  Unfolded, the bike’s dimensions are 67 × 25 × 47”.  Each of the wheels are 20” in diameter, and the tires are fat 2” puncture-resistant Chaoyang or CST tires.

The XP 2.0 features an LCD screen on the handlebars which displays trip distance, odometer, voltage, and current.  The interface is really easy to use and clearly visible when riding.

Both the handlebars and the seat can be easily adjusted to fit your specific needs, depending on your size.  The handlebars are 630 mm across, which gives the bike great handling and easy steering.

Included with the XP 2.0, you get fully integrated front and rear lights for road safety.  Also included on the XP 2.0 are two mounting points for baskets and racks.

This gives you a good amount of storage space for such a compact electric bike.  A rear rack is already included with the XP 2.0, which gives you a payload of 74 lbs right out of the box.

The electric motor on the XP 2.0 gives you a peak output of 800 Watts and 60 Nm of torque.  The total carrying capacity of the XP 2.0 is 330 lbs.

Battery

The battery in the XP 2.0 is smaller than the battery in the previous model of the XP, but the battery life remains similar, if not marginally better. The battery that comes with the XP 2.0 is a lithium-ion 48v 9.6ah, and it has a charging time of 4-6 hours.

The battery in the XP 2.0 is hidden inside the frame, and it’s also removable.  It can either be charged when inside the bike or removed and charged separately. The battery weighs 7 pounds (3.18 kg). The charging port is located at the top of the left side of the frame. It’s a standard micro USB port. The charging cable that comes with the bike is included.

Lectric XP 2.0 e-Bike Accessories

Lectric eBikes’ Vehicles are extremely capable right out of the box. With Version 2.0, Lectric introduces a wide range of new accessories. The new Cargo Baskets can be fitted to the included rear rack or to an optional front rack. You can transform the XP 2.0 into the ultimate sport utility vehicle of electric bikes with these additional accessories.

The smaller front basket that comes with the cargo package is perfect for a grocery bag, a backpack, or a coat or jacket. The bigger basket that can be mounted to the rear of the bike is big enough for multiple bags of groceries, or other similarly sized cargo.

A new suspension seat post and an ultra plush saddle take comfort levels to the next level. Comfort packs are available for purchase. You should always order a size larger than what you normally wear. Check the diameter of your seat post first before buying.

Conclusion

We were deeply impressed by the quality of the Lectric XP 2.0. It is very well-built, and it comes with lots of features. It was comfortable and a lot of fun to ride. The electric motor is fast-charging and has plenty of power and range.

The display screen is easy to use and very clear to read whilst riding the XP 2.0. The bike comes with everything that’s needed, and it’s fully charged and assembled right out of the box.

Overall, we thought that the Lectric XP 2.0 is a good choice, particularly for beginners. If you’re looking for a good value electric bike, this might be the one for you.
